How much does an ACiQ mini split cost?

ACiQ single-zone Essentials systems here start at $681.02 for the 12,000 BTU 17 SEER2 model and run up to $1,964.43 for the 36,000 BTU 20 SEER2 model. The 2-zone systems run $1,764.17 to $2,353.52.

Is a mini split efficient?

Ductless mini splits are generally an efficient way to heat and cool individual rooms because they avoid duct losses and let you condition only the spaces you use. The ACiQ systems here are rated from 17 to 23 SEER2; a higher SEER2 rating generally means lower cooling energy use.

What size ACiQ mini split do I need?

The 12,000 BTU single-zone system is designed for spaces up to about 600 square feet. On the 2-zone systems, a 9,000 BTU air handler suits rooms of about 250 to 400 square feet and a 12,000 BTU handler about 400 to 600 square feet; confirm sizing with a load calculation for your space.

What is the difference between the 17 SEER2 and 20 SEER2 models?

The 20 SEER2 models carry a higher efficiency rating and cost more up front. For example, the 18,000 BTU system is $941.64 at 17 SEER2 versus $1,276.22 at 20 SEER2, and the 24,000 BTU system is $1,234.82 versus $1,709.55.

Can one ACiQ system heat and cool two rooms?

Yes. The 18,000 BTU 22 SEER2 and 24,000 BTU 23 SEER2 2-zone systems run two indoor air handlers from one outdoor condenser, for pairings like a bedroom and living room or a home office and guest room.

Do I need a professional to install an ACiQ mini split?

Mini split installation involves refrigerant lines and high-voltage wiring, which generally calls for a licensed HVAC technician and may require a permit. Check local codes and the manufacturer's installation requirements before you buy; questions? Call 512-777-0154.
