110V Mini Split Systems

A 110V mini split (also sold as 115V or 120V) heats and cools a single room on standard household voltage, so you can avoid running a 240V circuit to a bedroom, home office, shed, garage or addition. This collection brings together every 115V ductless heat pump we carry from ACiQ and Senville, in 9,000 and 12,000 BTU sizes.

110V mini split FAQs

Can I plug a 110V mini split into a regular outlet?

No. The 115V systems here still need their own dedicated circuit: the Senville 12,000 BTU unit calls for a 20 amp maximum fuse, and the ACiQ 9,000 BTU 115V system calls for a 17–25 amp breaker. A licensed electrician should run the circuit, and the refrigerant work should be done by an HVAC technician.

Is 110V, 115V or 120V different?

No. They are different names for standard US household voltage. Mini split manufacturers usually list it as 115V, while shoppers often search for 110V or 120V.

How big a space can a 110V mini split handle?

The 115V systems we carry top out at 12,000 BTU, which suits a room of up to about 600 square feet depending on insulation, windows and climate. For larger spaces, look at 208/230V systems in our heating and cooling collection.

Is a 110V mini split less efficient than a 220V one?

Not necessarily. The 115V Senville LETO units are rated 21.2–21.5 SEER2, and the ACiQ 20 SEER2 units carry the same rating in both voltages. The main trade-offs are capacity (115V systems stop at 12,000 BTU here) and the higher current draw, which needs a properly sized circuit.

Which 110V mini split should I choose?

For a small bedroom, office or shed, start with 9,000 BTU. For a larger room up to about 600 sq ft, choose 12,000 BTU. If you need winter heat in a cold climate, the ACiQ 20 SEER2 models are rated to heat down to -4°F. Read our ACiQ buyer's guide or our mini split for shed guide for more help.
