Cedar Shed Kits in Every Size

  • Lean-to and compact sheds (4×2 to 8×4): slim footprints that fit along a fence or wall for garden tools and bins. From $1,388.
  • Garden sheds (6×6 to 9×9): room for a mower, bikes and tools. Sunshed models add windows and clear roof panels for natural light.
  • Large sheds and workshops (12×12 to 12×16): double doors and space for a workbench or potting area, up to about $8,200.

Why Western Red Cedar?

Cedar resists rot and insects naturally, stays stable as the weather changes, and weathers to a silver-gray if you leave it unstained. Select models offer cedar, metal or plywood roofing. Add cedar shelving sets or a cedar shed ramp to finish the inside.

How much does a wood shed kit cost?

Our cedar shed kits start at $1,388 for a compact garden chalet. 6×4 to 8×8 models run about $2,400 to $4,400. Larger 12×12 and 12×16 sheds run about $6,000 to $8,200.

What are your sheds made of?

Western Red Cedar, sustainably sourced from Canada. Cedar resists rot and insects naturally, smells great and weathers to a silver-gray if left unstained. Select models offer cedar, metal or plywood roofing.

Is it cheaper to buy a shed kit or build your own?

A kit is usually cheaper once you count time. Panels arrive pre-cut and pre-drilled, so there's no design or cutting. Building from scratch can save on materials but needs plans, tools and more labor.

What size shed do I need?

A 6×4 or 8×4 lean-to holds garden tools and bins. An 8×8 fits a mower plus tools. 12×12 and 12×16 sheds work as a workshop or potting shed with room to move around.

Will a shed raise my property taxes?

Possibly. Many counties assess permanent buildings on a foundation. Small sheds on skids are often not assessed. Ask your county appraisal district.

Do I need a permit for a shed?

Many cities exempt small storage sheds, often under 120 sq ft, but rules and setbacks vary. Check our permit guide before you order.

What should you not store in a shed?

Avoid storing paint, propane tanks, gasoline in large amounts, electronics, paper documents and food. Heat, cold and humidity can damage them or create a safety risk.
