What size she shed should I buy?

For a desk and a chair, 80–120 sq ft is enough. For a craft studio, home gym or seating area, look at 150–250 sq ft. If you want a guest bed or a separate room, go 250 sq ft or larger. Leave room on your lot for setback rules.

What is the cheapest way to get a she shed?

A DIY kit is the lowest-cost route. Our kits arrive pre-cut and flat-packed, so you skip framing and cutting. Keep costs down by choosing a smaller footprint, 44 mm walls if you live in a mild climate, and a simple gravel or pier foundation where code allows.

Can a she shed have electricity and air conditioning?

Yes. Most owners add power for lights and outlets, and a mini-split for heating and cooling. Plan the electrical run before you pour the foundation. A licensed electrician and a permit are usually required.

Will a she shed raise my property taxes?

It can. Many counties add the value of permanent structures on a foundation, especially insulated rooms with power. Small sheds on skids may not be assessed. Ask your county appraisal district how they treat accessory buildings.

Do I need a permit for a she shed?
