Golf Simulators

A home golf simulator lets you play full rounds, hit range sessions and work on your swing any day of the year, in a garage, basement, spare room or a dedicated backyard golf room. Every simulator in this collection is a complete TruGolf system: a launch monitor that reads ball and club data, simulation software with real courses, and on most packages the enclosure, screen and hitting mat to go with it.

Home Golf Simulator Packages

We carry three levels of golf simulator, so you can start with what fits your space and budget and upgrade later.

Launch Monitor + Enclosure Packages

The simplest way into simulator golf. The TruGolf LaunchBox with Starter 10 enclosure and the APOGEE Starter 10 packages pair a launch monitor with an enclosure, impact screen and hitting mat, starting from $6,995. A good fit for garages and spare rooms.

APOGEE + MAX Simulators

The TruGolf APOGEE with MAX simulator steps up to a full-size simulator build with TruGolf's camera-based APOGEE launch monitor for more detailed ball and club data. MAX Tech and MAX 4K versions add higher-end projection and tech packages.

Signature and Premium Golf Simulators

For a dedicated golf room, the TruGolf Signature and TruGolf Premium golf simulator are turnkey, finished installations built around the room, with premium screens, framing and software.

How Much Space Does a Golf Simulator Need?

  • Ceiling height: plan on about 10 ft so you can swing a driver without hitting the ceiling. Taller players need more.
  • Width: about 12 to 15 ft gives room for a centered hitting area and lets left- and right-handed players share the bay.
  • Depth: about 15 to 20 ft covers the screen, the space to the hitting mat and the launch monitor behind or beside the player.

No room in the house? Our Golf Simulator Room structures are backyard buildings designed around these dimensions, so the simulator has its own space.

How much does a home golf simulator cost?

Our TruGolf packages start at $6,995 for a LaunchBox launch monitor with Starter 10 enclosure. APOGEE packages run $10,995 to $29,000, and Signature and Premium simulators run $39,950 to $49,950.

What is a golf simulator?

A golf simulator pairs a launch monitor, which measures ball speed, launch angle and spin, with software, an impact screen and an enclosure. You hit real balls and see the shot fly on virtual courses.

How much space does a golf simulator need?

Plan for at least 10 ft of width, 15–20 ft of depth and about 9–10 ft of ceiling height. If your house doesn't have the room, see our backyard golf simulator rooms.

Is an 8 ft ceiling enough for a golf simulator?

For most adults, no. A full driver swing usually needs 9–10 ft. Shorter golfers may manage with less, but test your swing with a driver before you order.

What is included in a golf simulator package?

Launch monitor + enclosure packages include the launch monitor, an enclosure with impact screen, and a hitting mat. Full simulators add projection and premium framing. Check each product page for whether a computer, projector or software subscription is included.

Do golf simulators work for left-handed golfers?

Yes. Center the hitting area in a room about 12 ft wide or more and both left- and right-handed golfers can use it.
