How much does a mini split heat pump cost?

Systems here start at $681.02 for an ACiQ 12000 BTU 17 SEER2 single zone and run up to $4,499.99 for a Senville 48000 BTU five-zone system. Most single zone units fall between about $770 and $2,200.

Are mini-splits and heat pumps the same thing?

Not always: a mini split is a ductless system design, and many mini splits work as heat pumps that both heat and cool. Product names here note "Heat Pump" or "AC/Heat" where the unit offers heating.

What size mini split do I need?

Size depends on room area, insulation, ceiling height and climate. Units here range from 6000 BTU for small rooms to 48000 BTU multi-zone and central systems; an HVAC professional can run a proper load calculation.

Single zone or multi-zone mini split?

A single zone unit conditions one room, while multi-zone systems run several indoor units from one outdoor unit. Senville offers dual, tri, quad and five-zone systems, and ACiQ offers 18000 and 24000 BTU 2-zone systems.

Do I need a line set for a mini split?

Mini splits connect indoor and outdoor units with refrigerant lines, so check what's included with your system. Senville insulated line sets are sold separately in 16ft, 25ft and 50ft lengths from $99.99 to $339.99.

Can I install a mini split myself?

Installation involves refrigerant lines and electrical work, and local codes may require a licensed HVAC technician. Check local rules before you plan a DIY install.

Can a mini split heat and cool a sunroom or backyard room?

Ductless systems are commonly used in additions and spaces without ductwork. Call 512-777-0154 or contact us for help choosing a unit size.
