How to Choose an Under Counter Beverage Fridge

  • Measure the opening: width, height and depth. Most under counter fridges fit a 24-inch wide, roughly 34-inch tall space.
  • Front venting: built-in installs need a front-vented fridge. Freestanding-only models overheat when boxed in.
  • Indoor or outdoor: only use outdoor-rated models outside.
  • Glass or solid door: glass looks great in a bar; solid doors hold temperature better in direct sun.

How much clearance does an under counter beverage fridge need?

Front-vented models can be built in flush with your cabinets. Follow the cut-out dimensions on the product page and leave room for the door to swing open.

What is the difference between a mini fridge and a beverage fridge?

A beverage fridge is built for drinks, with glass doors, shelves sized for cans and bottles, and colder, more even temperatures. A mini fridge is a general-purpose small fridge.

Can an under counter beverage fridge be freestanding?

Yes. Front-vented under counter models work built-in or freestanding. A freestanding-only fridge should not be built into cabinetry.
