Teak Tiles and Planters (Installation and Usage)
Wood materials such as teak should not remain in direct contact with organic surfaces for extended periods. Continuous exposure to soil, grass, peat, or moss can lead to moisture buildup that may encourage mold, fungus, or bacterial growth.
Although teak is highly resistant to rot and harsh outdoor conditions, placing it directly on organic material can still lead to damage over time.
Proper Use Guidelines
- Teak floor tiles should only be installed on solid, non-organic surfaces such as concrete or other hard flooring materials.
- Teak planters should primarily function as decorative outer containers for potted plants and should not hold soil or organic planting material directly.
Teak outdoor furniture features slatted designs, allowing water to drain easily and preventing standing water from accumulating on the wood surface.
Teak Furniture Maintenance
Teak furniture requires occasional maintenance to preserve its appearance and extend its lifespan.
Regular cleaning is recommended to remove:
- Surface dirt
- Environmental buildup
- Residue from normal outdoor use
Cleaning the furniture at least twice per year helps maintain its condition, although additional cleaning may be necessary depending on environmental exposure.
Warranty Exclusions
The lifetime warranty does not apply to furniture purchased before 2004.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Improper or incorrect assembly
- Product modifications made after purchase
- Intentional damage, misuse, accidents, or negligence
- Normal wear and tear, including natural weathering and wood checking
- Damage caused directly by severe weather or environmental conditions
Custom Cushion Policy
All custom cushions, including those made with the customer’s own material (C.O.M.), are considered final sale items.
These products are not returnable, except in cases where a manufacturing defect or production error has occurred.
Commercial Warranty Coverage
For commercial settings such as hotels, restaurants, or public spaces, teak furniture warranties are limited to three years of use.
The exception to this policy applies to parasols, which carry a one-year commercial warranty.
