Sawmill Structures Box Sauna is a modern outdoor sauna built with durable, kiln-dried tongue-and-groove pine. This wooden sauna features a spacious interior with two-tier L-shaped benches, tempered glass door and windows for natural light, and excellent ventilation for optimal heat circulation.

Heating & Cooling: Options include electric heaters, wood stoves, propane furnaces, heat pumps, or portable/permanent AC units. Always follow local safety codes and consult a licensed HVAC pro before installation.

Foundations: A solid, level base is essential. Choose a well-drained location with enough clearance for assembly. Foundations can include existing decks, patios, concrete slabs, or pressure-treated timbers. We recommend a simple pressure-treated deck frame supported by footings suited to your soil. Consider screw piles (DIY or pro), sono tubes, or concrete pads.

Insulation: Many customers enjoy our cabins without insulation, especially with a reliable heat source. Our InterStack Log™ walls (38–90mm thick) naturally regulate temperature thanks to their thermal mass, storing heat and releasing it gradually.

Roofing: Kits include roof structure components (beams, tongue-and-groove boards) but not roof coverings. For covered builds, we offer corrugated or steel panels depending on the model. We recommend sheet/panel systems over shingles—they’re faster, easier, and better suited to our designs.
