Why Western Red Cedar?

Western Red Cedar is one of nature's most durable outdoor woods. Its natural oils resist rot, moisture and insects without chemical treatment, so it is safe around gardens, kids and pets.

  • Naturally weather resistant: stays stable and resists warping, shrinking and cracking.
  • Lightweight and strong: easier to assemble and move than pressure-treated pine.
  • Ages beautifully: leave it to weather to a soft silver-gray, or seal it yearly to keep its warm red tone.
  • Made in Canada: handcrafted from sustainably harvested Canadian cedar.

About All Things Cedar

All Things Cedar is a family-owned workshop that has been handcrafting outdoor furniture since 1998. Using sustainably sourced Canadian Western Red Cedar, their small team builds garden bridges, pagoda arbors, pergolas, porch swings and planters that are made with care, precision and pride.

Every piece ships as a pre-cut, pre-drilled and sanded kit with hardware and illustrated instructions, built to be used and loved for years to come.
