Sun Gold Power Off-Grid and Hybrid Solar Kits

Off-grid kits pair an inverter with a LiFePO4 battery bank, and many also include solar panels, in sizes from 3000W 12V and 24V systems up to 20000W 48V split-phase systems with 30.72kWh. Hybrid kits are built on 7600W, 11400W and 15200W 48V split-phase hybrid inverters with 15.36kWh to 51.2kWh of lithium storage.

Inverters, Batteries and Panels

Build or expand a system with pure sine wave inverter chargers (2000W to 18000W), 12V, 24V and 48V LiFePO4 batteries in server-rack and wall-mounted formats, monocrystalline PERC and bifacial N-type solar panels from 200W to 590W (also sold by the full pallet), plus MPPT charge controllers, battery racks and cabinets, solar cable and ground-mount brackets.

How much does a Sun Gold Power off-grid solar kit cost?

Off-grid kits here start at $2,346 for the 3000W 12V kit and run up to $17,535 for the largest 20000W 48V kit; most run about $4,700 to $14,000. Hybrid solar kits run $5,874 to $25,913 depending on inverter size and battery capacity.

Which is the best off-grid solar system for my home?

The best system is the one sized to your daily energy use, peak loads and whether you need 120V only or 120/240V split-phase power. Smaller 3000W to 6500W kits suit cabins and outbuildings, while 10000W to 20000W 48V split-phase kits are aimed at larger homes; call 512-777-0154 if you want help comparing kits.

What is the difference between an off-grid kit and a hybrid kit?

Off-grid kits are listed as stand-alone systems with an all-in-one or split-phase inverter, battery bank and, in many cases, panels. Hybrid kits use hybrid inverters, which are generally designed to work alongside the utility grid as well as batteries; confirm grid-tie requirements with your utility and a licensed installer.

What are the cheapest solar panels for home use?

Single-panel listings start at $350 for the 200W monocrystalline panel, with 370W to 590W panels starting from $845 to $996 depending on wattage. Buying a full pallet of 31 or 32 panels runs $5,499 to $7,199.

What batteries work for off-grid solar?

This collection offers LiFePO4 lithium batteries from a 12V 100Ah unit at $295 to 48V and 51.2V server-rack and wall-mounted packs from $1,090 to $2,390, and the PowerMax 16,070Wh outdoor energy storage battery at $2,995. Match the battery voltage to your inverter (12V, 24V or 48V).

What is the 20% rule for solar panels?

It is a common rule of thumb to size a solar array about 20% larger than your estimated needs to allow for losses, shading and weather. Treat it as a starting point and confirm sizing with your installer.

Will a 400W solar panel run a fridge?

A single panel can help, but a refrigerator runs around the clock, so you generally need a battery and inverter to keep it powered overnight and on cloudy days. Check your fridge's daily kWh use against your panel and battery capacity before buying.
