Golden Designs Zurich 4 Person Barrel with Bronze Privacy View Traditional Sauna is a 4-person outdoor barrel steam sauna built from Pacific premium cedar, with a clear acrylic rear wall that opens up the view. A 6.0 kW stove with built-in controls comes standard, with an optional 8 kW stove upgrade. A bronze privacy tempered glass door and an interior backrest with accent light make sessions comfortable and private. An interior LED control panel runs the accent lighting, and a sandglass, bucket and scoop are included. The ideal temperature range is 170–185°F, and the sauna can heat up to 190°F.

How To Use

  1. Place the barrel on a level, dry concrete slab, wood deck or concrete cinder blocks that can support the sauna and its occupants without settling.
  2. Assemble the staves, cradles, bands and acrylic rear wall with three adults following the owner's manual.
  3. Have a certified licensed electrician install the stove per local code (240V / 30 amp for 6 kW or 240V / 40 amp for 8 kW), plus a 120V / 15 amp circuit for the lighting, using copper wire rated 90°C.
  4. Set the stove to your desired temperature, usually 150–180°F, following the stove manufacturer's instructions; do not use it above 190°F.
  5. Press the Light 2 button on the control panel to turn on the light (Light 1 has no function on this model).
  6. Keep sessions to about 5–15 minutes and no more than 40 minutes, then cool down for 10–20 minutes before showering; exit immediately if you feel dizzy, sleepy or any discomfort.
  7. Turn the sauna off for 1 hour after every 4 hours of use.
  8. Wipe the interior with only a cloth and water, clean the floor after each session, check the stainless steel bands every 4–6 months, and apply an exterior wood water repellent within a month of assembly and 2–3 times per year.
