Golden Designs Klosters 6 Person Barrel Traditional Sauna is a 6-person outdoor sauna in a classic barrel shape, built from Pacific premium cedar. The barrel design gives you maximum usable space with less excess volume, so it heats quickly and efficiently. An 8.0 kW stove with built-in controls heats the room to an ideal 170–185°F, with a maximum of 190°F. A bronze privacy tempered glass door, interior backrest with accent light and LED control panel for the accent lighting complete the setup. A sandglass, bucket and scoop are included.

How To Use

  1. Place the sauna on a level, dry base that can support its weight, such as a concrete pad, wood deck or concrete cinder blocks.
  2. Assemble the barrel from the staves, support cradles, front and rear walls and stainless steel bands following the owner's manual.
  3. Have a certified licensed electrician hardwire the stove on a 240V / 40 amp circuit, plus a 120V / 15 amp circuit for the lighting, using copper wire rated 90°C.
  4. Set the stove to your desired temperature, usually 150–180°F; beginners should start lower and work up gradually.
  5. Press the Light 2 button to turn on the light (the Light 1 button has no function on the barrel saunas).
  6. Keep sessions to 5–15 minutes and stay hydrated with plenty of water.
  7. Do not use the sauna right after strenuous exercise, with alcohol, medication or drugs, or during an electrical storm.
  8. Apply an exterior wood water repellent within a month of assembly and 2–3 times per year, and clean the interior with plain water and a soft cloth.
