Switch Between Stove Heat and Infrared in the Carinthia Outdoor Sauna

Golden Designs Carinthia 3 Person Hybrid Flat Roof Outdoor Sauna is a three person outdoor sauna that lets you choose an 8.0 kW traditional stove or PureTech™ full spectrum infrared heat. The infrared side uses 8 emitters: 2 carbon PureTech™ Near Zero EMF panels and 6 near infrared elements. It is built from natural reforested Canadian hemlock with a waterproof stain on the exterior, a flat roof and a bronze privacy tempered glass door. Chromotherapy lighting with red light therapy, an LED control panel with FM radio and Bluetooth, built-in speakers and a sandglass, bucket and scoop round out the features. The stove heats to an ideal 170–185°F (up to 190°F), while infrared mode runs 118–132°F (up to 140°F).

How To Use

  1. Place the sauna on a dry, level base that can support it with users inside, such as a concrete slab, wood deck, gravel or cinder blocks, with the vents unobstructed.
  2. Have a certified licensed electrician connect a dedicated 240V / 40 amp circuit using copper wire rated 90°C.
  3. For a traditional session, turn the main power switch to 1 and heat with the stove's built-in controls; do not use it above 190°F.
  4. For an infrared session, turn the main power switch to 2, press the control panel power button until it beeps, then press the infrared button so it turns green; the bench near infrared heater has its own I/O switch.
  5. Set the timer with the clock buttons and the temperature with the thermometer buttons; press C/F to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  6. Use the light button and remote for chromotherapy and red light therapy, and press BT for music (the screen shows bLU) or FM for the radio.
  7. Do not stay in the sauna longer than 40 minutes at a time, and exit immediately if you feel dizzy, sleepy or any discomfort.
  8. Turn the main power switch to 0 after use. Wipe the floor after each session, clean the interior with plain water and a soft cloth, and apply an exterior wood water repellent within a month of assembly and 2–3 times per year.
