Each Sun Gold Power kit name lists inverter wattage, system voltage (12V, 24V or 48V), AC output, battery kWh and, where included, total solar panel wattage. Kits without a panel wattage in the name can be paired with panels from our solar panels page.

How much does an off-grid solar system kit cost?

Sun Gold Power off-grid kits start at $2,346 for the 3000W 12V battery back-up kit and run up to $16,930 for the 18000W / 30.72kWh kit. Many mid-size 5000W–8000W kits fall between $3,145 and $8,880.

How much is a 5kW solar system?

Our 5000W 48V kits run from $3,145 (5.12kWh battery, 1200W of panels) to $4,958 (10.24kWh battery, 2700W of panels). Price mainly depends on battery size and how much solar panel wattage is included.

What will a 10,000 watt solar system run?

A 10000W inverter can handle larger combined loads, but what it runs day to day depends on battery capacity and sunlight. Our 10000W kits come with 20.48kWh to 32.14kWh of lithium storage.

Can you buy and install your own off-grid solar system?

Many buyers purchase complete kits like these, but wiring, mounting and permits vary by location. Check local codes and use a licensed electrician where required.

What's the difference between off-grid and hybrid kits?

Off-grid kits are built to run without a utility connection, while hybrid kits are designed to also work alongside the grid. Compare options on our hybrid solar system kits page.

Do off-grid kits come with batteries?

Yes, every Sun Gold Power off-grid kit here lists a LiFePO4 or lithium battery bank in its name, from 5.12kWh up to 32.14kWh. One 10000W kit uses a self-heating 25.6kWh battery.
