How much does a man cave shed cost?

Our man cave kits start at $3,399. Most game rooms, bar rooms and lounges run about $14,000 to $35,000 for the kit. Budget extra for a foundation, roofing finish, electrical, HVAC and assembly. Larger multi-room builds cost more.

What is the ideal size for a man cave shed?

Is it cheaper to buy a man cave kit or build one?

A kit usually costs less in time and labor. Pieces arrive pre-cut and numbered, so two people can raise the shell without framing from scratch. Building from scratch can cost less in materials, but it needs plans, cutting and more labor.

How do I turn a shed into a man cave?

Start with a structure that has real windows, a solid floor and enough height. Then add insulation, electrical, a mini-split for heating and cooling, flooring and lighting. Our kits are designed as rooms from the start, so you skip converting a storage shed.

Can I put a bathroom or bar in a man cave shed?

Yes. Several models have separate rooms you can plan as a half bath or wet bar. Plumbing means trenching for water and sewer lines and usually a permit. Plan the location before you pour the foundation.

Will a man cave shed raise my property taxes?

It can. Many counties assess permanent, finished buildings with power. Ask your county appraisal district how they treat accessory buildings.

What is included in a man cave kit?
