All standard-size Austin Air units are compatible with any standard-size air filter, meaning you can easily switch between different models. For example, if you originally bought a standard-size HealthMate® Air Purifier but want the benefits of a Pet Machine®, you only need to buy the Pet Machine® replacement air filter to upgrade your air purifier's capabilities.

When ordering your replacement filter, it's important to carefully choose the correct size and type to match your unit. Be sure to verify these details before finalizing your order, as returning incorrectly ordered filters may result in a restocking fee. To confirm the size of your current filter, check for a label on the underside of your unit. If the label says "Model HM400," it indicates that your unit uses the standard-size filter.

Filter Specifications

Stage 1 – Large Particle Pre-filter: Captures visible particles like dust, hair, and pet dander, easily noticeable to the naked eye.

Stage 2 – Medium Particle Pre-filter: Filters out small to medium-sized particles, such as mold spores and pollen, and can come in gray, blue, or green.

Stage 3 – Activated Carbon and Zeolite: Contains over 780 cubic inches of activated and specially treated carbon, along with zeolite, to effectively remove ammonia, pet odors, chemicals, and gases from the air.

Stage 4 – True Medical Grade HEPA Filter: Features 60 square feet of HEPA filtration that eliminates 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, and 99% of particles down to 0.1 microns.
