All standard-sized Austin Air units are compatible with any standard-sized air filter. This means if you own a standard size HealthMate® unit and want to upgrade to the enhanced filtration of the HealthMate Plus®, you only need to purchase the corresponding HealthMate Plus® replacement filter.

Before placing your order, double-check that you’ve selected the correct size and type of filter to avoid any issues. Incorrectly ordered filters may be subject to a restocking fee upon return. To verify the size of your current filter, look for a label on the underside of your unit. If the label shows "Model HM400," this confirms that you have a standard-sized ai filter.

Filter Specifications

Stage 1 – The large particle pre-filter captures visible particles like dust, hair, and pet dander.

Stage 2 – The medium particle pre-filter traps smaller particles, such as mold spores and pollen. It comes in gray, blue, or green.

Stage 3 – With over 780 cubic inches of activated carbon, potassium iodide impregnated carbon, and zeolite, this stage effectively eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, benzenes, chemicals, gases, and odors.

Stage 4 – The 60 sq. ft. True Medical Grade HEPA filter removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and 99% of particles as tiny as 0.1 microns, ensuring highly effective filtration.
