All standard-size Austin Air units are fully compatible with any standard-size filter, meaning you can easily swap out your current filter with one that better suits your needs. For instance, if you originally purchased a standard-size HealthMate® unit and now wish to upgrade to a different filter model, you only need to buy the appropriate replacement filter for your air quality requirements.

When placing an order for your replacement air filter, it's essential to double-check that you've selected the correct size and filter type before confirming your purchase. This precaution helps you avoid any restocking fees that may apply if you accidentally order the wrong filter.

To verify the size of your current filter, simply look for a label on the bottom of your air purifier. If you see the model number HM400, it indicates that your unit uses a standard-size filter. This easy-to-check label will guide you to the right replacement air filter and ensure a smooth upgrade process.

Filter Specifications

Stage 1 – The large particle pre-filter captures larger particles that are visible to the naked eye, such as dust, hair, and pet dander.

Stage 2 – The medium particle pre-filter traps smaller particles, including mold spores and pollen. This filter may come in various colors like gray, blue, or green.

Stage 3 – With over 780 cubic inches of activated carbon and zeolite, this stage eliminates chemicals, gases, and unpleasant odors from the air.

Stage 4 – The medical-grade HEPA filter spans 60 square feet and removes 99.97% of particles larger than 0.3 microns, and 95% of particles larger than 0.1 microns, providing superior air filtration.
