All standard-sized Austin Air units are compatible with any of the standard-sized filters. This means that if you originally bought a HealthMate® unit and are looking to upgrade to a Bedroom Machine®, you can simply purchase a replacement Austin Air Bedroom Machine Filter and it will fit seamlessly into your existing unit.

When ordering your replacement filter, it's crucial to double-check both the size and type of filter you need before finalizing your purchase. Mistakes in ordering the wrong filter could result in a restocking fee if you need to return it.

To determine the size of your current filter, look for a label on the bottom of your air purifier. If the label shows "Model HM400," then your unit uses the standard sized air filter.

Filter Specifications

Stage 1 – A large particle pre-filter captures visible particles such as dust, hair, and pet dander.

Stage 2 – The medium particle pre-filter traps smaller particles like mold spores and pollen, and comes in gray, blue, or green.

Stage 3 – With over 780 cubic inches of activated carbon and zeolite, this stage eliminates chemicals, gases, and odors.

Stage 4 – A 60 sq. ft. True Medical Grade HEPA filter removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and 99% of particles down to 0.1 microns.

Stage 5 – The military-grade HEGA carbon cloth (High-Efficiency Gas Arrestance) offers a large surface area to absorb chemicals, gases, viruses, and bacteria.
